LinkedIn loved by Cyber-criminals
LinkedIn is the world’s largest business social network used by millions of users. Cyber-criminals are using LinkedIn to entice potential victims according to Computing. Victims are usually subjected to phishing or whaling attacks. A technique where the recipient is sent an email as a bait enticing them to click on an attachment or a link. This usually takes them to a fake but legitimate-looking website. The target is usually led to login and submit personal information, ideally credit card details.
Cyber-crooks are not selective about their targets, victims are chosen at random. To learn more about how SME's can protect themselves against Cyber-crime please contact us.
