GDPR Documentation Templates
Need help with your GDPR governance documentation?
On Friday 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect.
This is the beginning of an evolutionary process. As organisations and technologies change, businesses are expected to identify emerging privacy and security risks whilst continuing to engage with the GDPR. However, many SME's struggle to understand what is meant by engagement.
To start with organisations need to understand that the GDPR is a cultural change and not just about Cyber Security and IT solutions. Whilst IT forms part of the road to engagement, a more significant element is the implementation of key processes, increasing awareness and ensuring the correct documentation is in place. This involves reviewing or implementing some of the following within an organisation:-
Data Privacy Statements (DPS),
Supply chain agreements,
Understanding the collection, use, management and sharing of personal data.
Breach isolation, reporting and recovery,
Subject Access Reporting (SAR),
For many SME’s this level of cultural change can be a daunting challenge. Accordingly, NIS are delighted to provide a collection of documentation templates which organisations can customise to address many of the governance elements of the GDPR.
